Dear Members of Parliament, Senators, and Supreme Court Justices

North America And Freemasonry: 2025

Evans Nicholson, www.ctmin.org

I ran as a candidate in the 2008 Federal Election in the Maple Ridge riding of British Columbia, Canada. Although it was never my idea to run in any election, the decision was made for me in September 2007. Now, more than 16 years later, I was prompted to share why I ran, including the intervention by Queen Elizabeth II that made this possible. That intervention occurred at a time when threats were being made by officials within the Canadian government, making it clear I would never be allowed to participate in any election.

During the election period, after being cleared to run following Her Majesty’s intervention, I sent correspondence to every Member of Parliament to inform them of my candidacy and platform issues. I did this because I believed, given the circumstances, it was important to do so. My campaign platform had only two issues: healthcare and Freemasonry. While healthcare is a critical issue, criminality involving Freemasonry has always been the primary issue I have focused on over the years. As a result, Choosing Truth Ministries www.ctmin.org was founded in 2001 to provide free resources through its website.

In providing these free resources, it has always been important to never condemn Masons who are victimized by their membership in an organization that deceived them into joining. In 2001, I wrote an article, First Lodge Night, about my first night when I thought I was joining a Christian organization, or at least one compatible with Christianity. When viewing these resources, it’s often difficult for most Masons to initially comprehend the secret doctrines that are intentionally hidden from them. In dealing with this Masonic deception, it’s important to clarify that most Masons are good people, just like some of our fathers and grandfathers, who were deceived into Lodge membership in the same way some of us were.

In this, I continue to have a high regard for the majority of these good people within the Lodge, most of whom are seeking fellowship and the charitable opportunities offered through membership. However, concerning Masonic deception, it is the desire for truth that leads to informed decisions and freedom from its bondage. For further consideration, all of the CTMin resources are found on the Choosing Truth ARTICLES page.

As a former Freemason who has been employed at both the provincial and federal levels of government, I have always been aware of the unhindered criminality within every level of the Canadian government, the same as in the United States. In October 2007, I wrote an article, Canada And Freemasonry, exposing some of this criminality within the Canadian government. By December 2007, it became one of the articles that government officials acting upon Masonic authority wanted removed. The intensity towards achieving this came in the form of a phone call from Ottawa. The caller made sure I understood this through a series of threats intended to force my compliance.

Coming from Ottawa, this would be the equivalent of an American receiving a phone call from a government agent in Washington, DC. Under normal circumstances, I may have considered compliance, but my application to run in the next federal election was not based on normal considerations. As such, threats and intimidation were immaterial, whether I was cleared to run or not. Over time, after posting Canada And Freemasonry, it was translated into several languages and posted on their respective websites. Looking back, after becoming aware of this, I could more easily understand the aggression I encountered in 2007 until Queen Elizabeth II intervened in 2008. From that point onward, there were no further threats from those who had previously done so within the Canadian government. In this, I have profound gratitude for Her Majesty and for the prompting to send my Letter: Queen Elizabeth II.

In some respects, Masonic activity in Canada seems to take a more benign form of criminality compared to the United States, where there can be more violent repercussions when it is challenged. Considering that a third of U.S. Presidents were Masons, it becomes more apparent that a great deal of power is involved in its use both domestically and internationally. Unfortunately, for most of us in North America, we’ve been denied even basic information about its activities and existence. Through Masonic ownership of North American media, we lost our freedom of the press. Anything that might have been printed about Freemasonry became subject to Masonic censorship. Britain, on the other hand, has been able to retain its freedom of the press.

During the 1990s, the British government devoted considerable resources to combat Masonic corruption and its threat to their national security. More on this will be mentioned shortly, but first, I’ll continue by saying that this battle between the British government and Freemasonry was extensively reported in Britain’s media. Some of these news reports are found in The Court System And Freemasonry, pages 38-45, Appendix D, Media Coverage from Britain. It is noted within several of these reports that British Parliament had prepared laws in 1998 that would have required all members of their judiciary to sign a register if they were members of Freemasonry. When this registry was put forward, the various Masonic judges, police officers, and other components of Britain’s judiciary simply refused to sign. Consider an organization with sufficient power to defy the laws of Britain to remain criminally active within its government and judicial system. It does the same in North America, but more effectively, through its media censorship, hiding its activities in plain view.

It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly when Freemasons began taking ownership of North America’s media, but there were some events indicating this was occurring up to and after the War of 1812. William Morgan was a U.S. captain during the War of 1812. By 1826, he was a Royal Arch Mason and had been practicing the Craft for thirty years. After becoming a Christian that same year, he renounced Freemasonry and prepared an exposé of the inner doctrines that very few Masons had known to exist. Even back then, there were no publishers willing to print his exposé. He was, however, able to find a private printing press and began to self-publish. When the local Masons found out, they destroyed the printing press and murdered William Morgan on September 20, 1826. Partial coverage of his murder is found in The Court System And Freemasonry, pages 30-37, Appendix C, The Murder of Captain William Morgan.

In the years following William Morgan’s murder, Masonic authorities created many fictitious reports attempting to exonerate Freemasonry by deceiving both its members and the public. However, when these things became known, after a deathbed confession by one of the Masons involved in his murder, recognition must be given to how Lodge members responded when in possession of the truth. On page 31 of The Court System And Freemasonry, we read the following: “Evidence against Freemasonry was so compelling that it precipitated a mass exodus from the Lodge. Of 50,000 Masons in the United States at that time, 45,000 withdrew their memberships and renounced their oaths, forcing the closure of 2,000 lodges.” This was 90% of all Masons in the United States withdrawing their membership once they understood the true nature of Freemasonry, the same as it would be today for the same reasons. It has been said that Freemasonry would collapse and cease to exist almost overnight if Masonic members knew and understood these things.

In 1984, British author Stephen Knight wrote The Brotherhood. It became an international bestseller exposing Masonic activity in Britain. He wrote about criminality within Scotland Yard, their judiciary, and other areas involving the private sector. Included in his book were threats to Britain’s national security from KGB operatives who had become members of British Freemasonry. For many of us, this was our first introduction to the global reality of Masonic activity. As more information became available from British and American sources, it confirmed that Masonic infiltration in North America was beyond what had been expected.

Later, in 1990, British author Martin Short was commissioned to write a sequel to The Brotherhood, as Stephen Knight had died. A brief description of his book Inside the Brotherhood is as follows: “When the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee recently recommended that police officers, magistrates, judges, and crown officers should publicly register their Masonic membership, it was largely thanks to the ammunition provided by Martin Short’s investigative tour de force. His Inside the Brotherhood carried on the pioneering work begun by Stephen Knight’s explosive account The Brotherhood… It investigates the occult elements in Masonry, whether its rituals should be seen as religion – and, if so, what god is being worshiped. Relying on first-hand evidence wherever possible, the book probes the extent to which the Masonic oaths of mutual aid and secrecy have contaminated the fraternity and aroused mounting hostility from churches, politicians, and the public, and provoked charges of corruption in key areas of British life, including the police force, local government, the city, and the secret services.”

In becoming aware of these hidden realities, we also become aware of issues affecting each of us, including some of the same issues affecting Masonic members victimized by its deception. To maintain control of its membership, there are a succession of oaths and obligations the Mason binds himself to during spiritually charged rituals that amplify the bondage entered into. Some of these oaths are found in The Court System And Freemasonry, pages 19-20, Appendix A, Mandate for Blind Obedience. Additional oaths are found on pages 25-29, Appendix B, Sworn to Persecute. Following the repercussions of William Morgan’s murder, it is reasonable to say that at least 90% of all Masons would never have joined if they had known about these oaths and the bondage activated upon initiation. While Masonic control of our media provides the means for Masonic forces to maintain their presence within places like healthcare and corporate America, it does other things. When there are those within government and elsewhere attempting to step forward to expose criminality, they are dealt with in secrecy.

In my Letter: Queen Elizabeth II, I touched upon threats I initially failed to take seriously. This quickly changed following a threat to the safety of my son, which silenced me for many years. Whether these kinds of things involving threats towards children and family members can be interpreted as the dark forces of criminality or spiritually charged forces of darkness it is a personal interpretation, valid either way. However, these are the realities that any member of the government, the judiciary, and elsewhere can face when attempting to step forward with revelations of Masonic criminality in North America. Despite threats and intimidation, there will always be those called to step forward who will do so.

In sending this letter to Canadian authorities, I have also sent a parallel letter to American authorities. Although the content of each letter is different, they depend on each other for a more comprehensive view of how Masonic activity continues to affect each of us. In this letter to Canadian authorities, there have been historical perspectives on how Freemasonry has achieved a dominant role within almost every aspect of Canadian society. In the letter sent to American authorities, however, the focus has been on providing evidence of the actual criminal conduct occurring within the US courts, government agencies, and throughout American society, just as in Canada. The evidence provided shows how high-ranking Masons, those without regard for human life, will engage in child abuse, including the destruction of medical reports when it serves their Masonic obligations. By extension, the same form of criminality that exists in British and European courts within the respective governments of each.

With further inspection of its history in North America, it becomes clear that Freemasonry has neutralized every source of opposition by promoting Masons into government, the courts, and wherever positions of power can be used to expand its dominance. While this was taking place, the Protestant Church stood firm in its absolute condemnation of Freemasonry, exposing the corruption within. Although Freemasonry had taken control of the media, the Protestant Church remained an effective voice throughout North America, holding back the path of destruction taking place. These are historical realities, hidden from the public under Masonic censorship. These are the historical realities that Masons and those thinking of joining need to be aware of in order to make informed decisions about what they actually support or what they may end up being deceived into supporting. In its adherence to the supremacy of God, the Protestant Church never has, and never will, be remotely compatible with Freemasonry. In response to being exposed, Freemasonry began its attack to silence this Church witness in 1926. The following is taken from The Character, Claims, and Practical Workings of Freemasonry, written by Charles Finney in 1869. His book was reprinted in 1998 by John Daniel, www.scarletandthebeast.com, with the following Epilog:

Epilog: Freemasonry’s Retaliation Against The Church (1998) by John Daniel, pages 202-303:

A Masonic pastor of the First Congregational Church of Salt Lake City sums up the attitude of many Masonic pastors and Masonic laymen of today. He is quoted in The Masonic Book The Craft and the Clergy, written by 33rd-degree Freemason Rev. Dr. Forrest Haggard, as saying, “I am in a mighty army of men who have committed themselves to minimize the importance of moral and ethical teachings."

This brings us to phase seven, the Masonic infiltration of American churches. In 1926, the Scottish Rite published an article in its January New Age Magazine, telling Masons to join Christian churches. It was an order coming directly from the Supreme Council at Charleston, South Carolina, the headquarters of Universal Freemasonry. Written by W. B. Zimmerman, the article entitled Let There Be Light states that every Mason “should cast his lot with the Church – to help vitalize it, liberalize it, modernize it, and render it aggressive and efficient – to do less is treason to your country, to your Creator, and to the obligation you have promised to obey.” Each Mason was to follow these instructions as directed by his local lodge.

A Mason’s obligation is more powerful than any law of the land. Under oath, he obligates himself to carry out all orders given him by the Masonic hierarchy. Consequently, following the publication of this article in 1926, Masons throughout the United States flocked to join local Protestant churches. In time, these Masons worked their way into church leadership. And in time, they turned the evangelical churches materialistic and lukewarm.

As reported by John Daniel in the above publication, sourced from the 1926 Masonic New Age Magazine, Masons throughout America, under the Scottish Rite, entered into Protestant denominations to attack from within. Over the following decades, threats and intimidation were just some of the tools used to gain control of the church. It’s the same range of tools used today throughout every level of society, and especially against the Protestant denominations of North America. By having Masons in denominational headquarters and individual church leadership, Freemasonry has been able to maintain dominance with very little opposition. Despite what may appear to be an insurmountable force within the church, the greatest fear Masonic authorities have is the church. With God’s call upon His church to expose the evil deeds of darkness, it has been prepared to once again do so. In fear of this, Masonic authorities are aware that Freemasonry, in its present form, will no longer function with its very existence being challenged. Freemasonry cannot function without secrecy, hiding its activities from the public, as well as from those Masons who are deceived in their membership.

To expand further on this use of threat, it would be an oversight not to mention that there can often be a price for opposing Freemasonry within the church. Over the years, here in western Canada, I’ve known of five pastors fired for speaking out against Freemasonry in their churches. On occasion, it can get worse, with threats leading to potential violence. Years ago, in the next town over, a church meeting was called to deal with concerns after a pastor had been fired. A friend and member of the church stood up asking about Freemasonry being involved. She remained standing and asked a second time, at which point the meeting was closed. The next day, one of the elders called her at home to warn her of potential danger to her family if she ever spoke out against Freemasonry in the church again. Having heard of similar incidents occurring in American churches, I now realized that this was happening in Canada as well, making it a North American issue that began in 1926. However, not too many years later, she was led to provide weekend seminars exposing Freemasonry for many years. These seminars were well-attended and played a significant role in educating people and helping them avoid Masonic deception. I also know of many pastors, like Rev. Harmon Taylor, who remained in their churches after standing up to Freemasonry, as well as Pastor Pierce Dodson, who shares his experience in Freemasonry: The Trojan Horse in The Church. Every day, pastors in North America are threatened and sanctioned for defending their churches from Luciferian doctrines. Every day, churches in North America stand up to these doctrines, leading Masons into freedom from bondage.

Recently, I wrote a new article, Secrets Masons Don’t Know, which includes an explanation of these Luciferian doctrines. In some aspects, it serves as a follow-up to First Lodge Night, written more than twenty years ago. Over the years, I have been greatly impacted by John Bishop’s words, which are shared in this newly written article. John, a 32nd-degree Mason who loved Jesus, did not see a conflict between the charitable work done by the Lodge and his Christian faith. At the age of 90, two weeks after reading Freemasonry On Trial, he renounced Freemasonry and burned all his Masonic regalia. Shortly after, at a Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship meeting he had attended for years, he said, "I never knew I was in bondage until I was set free from bondage." Hearing this, I immediately understood the same spiritual significance in my own freedom from bondage. Over the years since then, I have seen this as a recurring theme in the lives of former Masons. By knowing these things, it helps us extend compassion to those under bondage, victimized by Freemasonry.

Moving forward in the purpose for writing this letter, as stated in my introduction, “…it was never my idea to run in any election….” Having been prompted to explain why I applied to run in a federal election, I cannot diminish God’s interaction in this, in any way. Without His involvement, nothing that began in September 2007, up to these letters to Canadian and American officials, would have transpired in preparation for what’s still ahead. In September 2007, while walking on my way to visit a friend, a voice spoke in my mind, saying, “Run in the next Federal Election.” Surprised by this, I looked up and replied, “Was that You, Lord, or was that from me?” With no further dialogue, I found myself in a dilemma. While the voice sounded familiar, I knew it was impossible for me to be approved to run in any election. I was a federal employee and would need permission from my employer to run in a Canadian election. Having had previous altercations with government agents involving Freemasonry, I knew approval would never be granted, and applying would be a wasted effort. These were my thoughts as I decided whether to proceed as directed or wait, hoping for clarification or confirmation that it was the Lord giving me this highly unusual directive. My decision to proceed was based on previous interactions. To save time and space, I’ve added a link, Background Details, for those interested in knowing how those interactions influenced my decision to respond as directed.

After making the decision to respond, I spent the next two weeks collecting all the required application forms. I also worked to figure out what I’d need to do to be involved in a political setting. By the end of these first two weeks, I was nearly paralyzed by stress. Without asking, the Lord spoke in a casual tone, saying, “Winning or losing is none of your business, you’re required to show up.” With that, my stress immediately lifted, and I realized it was no longer something I needed to be concerned with. The next form of direction came in October. Two years earlier, I had written a letter to Queen Elizabeth II. When I finished it, I thought, “Who am I to be sending a letter to the Queen?” I then said, “Lord, I’ll never send this letter unless You give me permission.” Over the next two years, I added short paragraphs to keep it current, just in case. Then, in October, although no words were spoken, I sensed His presence and received the release to send this letter to Her Majesty. Once sent, I gave it no further thought, fully convinced that I’d never receive a reply. Shortly afterward, Canada And Freemasonry was completed and posted on the CTMin website.

By November, all the forms had been sent. The month passed without issue, except for one form that was returned. I was asked to provide a more complete description of my platform. In my original response, I had given a generic answer, hoping it would slip by unnoticed. When that failed, I decided to be completely transparent, as I felt there was nothing to lose. Knowing I would likely never be granted permission to run, I amended my answer with complete honesty. I wrote, “I would be running as an independent on an anti-corruption platform, to attach Freemasonry to the Criminal Code of Canada, following the precedent established by British Parliament in the 1990s.” Although November had been uneventful, I knew forces had mobilized for confrontation, and the usual threats and intimidation were on the horizon. Whatever was about to happen would be immaterial, with no surprises ahead.

In December, while at home, I received my first phone call from Ottawa. During the conversation, I was threatened with being fired and the loss of my pension. Among the demands was the removal of the articles recently posted on the CTMin website. Although this was what I expected, I was angered by the harsh and aggressive language used, compounded by the fact that I had not been allowed to reply or given any other courtesy. Feeling angered by these things, I wrote a response letter. Knowing I was about to be fired, I was methodical in expressing my thoughts about the threats and the Masonic authority upon which they were based.

After this direct confrontation with an official in Ottawa, I anticipated further altercations in a matter of days. To my surprise, nothing occurred throughout the rest of December and into January 2008. Finally, in mid-January, I received a second call at home from Ottawa. A younger lady with a pleasant demeanour called to inquire about one of the application forms they had not received. After I informed her that I had submitted it to our institutional head office in November, she promised to investigate and call back the next day. The next day, she told me the form was being couriered and would be considered in my application to run in the next election.

Rather than receiving the anticipated threats, I was now having pleasant conversations with an agent in Ottawa. This completely defied all my expectations. Over the next few weeks, I struggled to understand this shift until receiving a letter from Buckingham Palace in mid-February. Although I had shown this letter to only a few close friends, I never made it public. Out of profound gratitude towards Her Majesty, I wanted to extend this token of appreciation for her intervention. This is the first time, in these letters to Canadian and American officials, that I acknowledge its existence following her passing.

Rather than quoting directly, I will summarize a portion of its content. Written on behalf of Her Majesty, I was informed that the points I raised had been sent to the relevant government department at Her Majesty’s request. After reading it several times, I began to understand that God had placed Her Majesty in a position to halt any further threats from those who had previously issued them and to approve my candidacy to run in the next Federal Election, just as He had called me to do.

For Her Majesty to provide this level of intervention in Canada, she held significant powers many Canadians may not even be fully aware of. As Canada is a member nation of the British Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth II held many titles and roles. Within the military, she held rank as Commander-in-Chief of the Canadian Armed Forces. As this implies, she also held significant power within Canada’s political structure and could intervene when necessary. On September 7, 2008, a five-week election period was called, in which I had been approved to run as an independent candidate through Her Majesty’s intervention within the Canadian government, even though I had never believed such a thing would be possible when I was first called to do so in September 2007.

When the election period began, numerous campaign signs went up for each party. Seeing this, I quickly realized I didn’t have the financial resources for much of anything. In my frustration, I looked up, as I often do, and asked, “Lord, why did You choose me for this when You have so many who are much more qualified than me?” As usual, when asking questions, I don’t expect an answer, though on rare occasions, I might receive one. This was one of those rare occasions when He replied, “Because you will do what I ask you to do.” That encouragement lasted until the election was over. Once again discouraged by receiving very few votes, I asked, “Lord, what was this all about?” With one word, He said, “Seeds.” From this single word, I immediately understood some of the reasons for being called to run in this Federal Election. In scripture, there are those called to plant the seeds of His Kingdom throughout the world. Then there are those called to water these seeds and produce fruit for His Kingdom. Finally, there are those called to assist in the harvest of those entering into His presence. However, I understood that the application of this word was specifically directed toward those being brought out of occult bondage with assistance from His church in its freedom to do so.

God bless Israel and all those entering into His Kingdom.

Evans Nicholson.
