Before becoming a Freemason, I knew very little about spiritual matters other than the overview I had learned through my church attendance. This changed years later when I was faced with the abuse my son had suffered at the hands of the U.S. courts. Due to this, after bringing Dennis to Canada, I had to consider Freemasonry to be a potential threat to his safety. As noted on page 9 of my Letter: Queen Elizabeth II, there were at least two attempts in Canada by American Masonic authorities that were implicit in his abuse, so my fears were justified. In response to this source of abuse, I read everything I could find about Freemasonry. Most of the material was written by former Masons who had gone well beyond the first three Blue Lodge degrees. They wrote about the occult realities that became more evident the further they progressed. Despite this information from some of the highest sources who had been in Freemasonry, I struggled to understand the material they provided. Finally, in 1987, almost two years later, I read something by one of the former Masons that caught my attention. After reading it again, I understood the truth being shared. In response, I said two things to myself. First, I said, "I can't be a Mason and serve Jesus." Then I said, "I'll never be a Mason again." In a split second, I felt something lifting off my mind. As this was happening, I suddenly understood many of the things I had been reading about Freemasonry. In this state of instant comprehension, it felt as if time had been compressed while these things took place. This was something new and unexpected—being the first spiritual experience I had ever been aware of. A short time later, I would come to understand how I had been set free from spiritual bondage, which activated my First Lodge Night.

For the next year, I continued researching Freemasonry, free from my previous bondage. While doing this, there were no issues until I began to write what I thought would be a 10-page article dealing with Masonic deception to its members and those thinking of joining. Many years later, with permission from the authors and publishers, this expanded into the 190-page manual Freemasonry On Trial, a free publication on the CTMin website. However, back in 1988, when I first began, I quickly understood there was a choice between relative peace when not working on the material or spiritual confrontation when engaged in it. Although this was something I had no preparation to deal with, I was profoundly grateful for what Jesus had done—that my son’s life had been spared—and for my freedom from bondage, so I continued. Over the next five years, I experienced compounding levels of spiritual confrontation. Although each year brought a greater level of freedom, each year also brought different and more intense altercations. There were many times I called upon the Lord to survive some of the more violent altercations. During those times, a sense of His presence or a few words would provide the means to continue. Occasionally, there would be a brief explanation as to why I had been so easily defeated during a particularly debilitating confrontation. Although I often begged Him to be released from these altercations, I would later thank Him for not doing so. It was by going through these confrontations that I came to know His presence and to hear His voice, even if in just a few short words. What I didn’t realize at the time was that each altercation was preparation for what was ahead in dealing with the same source of deception binding good men into Freemasonry. This gave me an even greater appreciation for the Lord and what I had learned during those difficult years.

After those years, I entered a time of freedom and peace I had never known. Although I continued preparing resource material and being available to speak, I had a personal issue. There was a chip on my shoulder towards those Masons who had been involved in my son’s abuse and those who had just stood by. Despite this, I understood God loved Masons caught under bondage and was reaching out to them. I understood He would not be pleased if I began condemning those Masons victimized by their Masonic membership. While able to maintain a separation of my issues from the resources, it was an annoyance I preferred not to contend with. Then the Lord did something I’ve again been grateful for. I woke up one morning with a profound love for Masons. I knew it wasn’t from me, and I knew the Lord was allowing me to experience His love towards those under bondage. I remember His love as being pure, complete, and beyond my ability to describe. Without any words, the Lord changed and rearranged heart issues, which was an important factor for what would be up ahead. Over the years, I’ve been able to appreciate how much more effective it’s been to reach out with a sense of love and compassion towards seeing Masons set free from bondage, along with others being diverted from a path leading to destruction. There is, however, a point when taking an offensive position is required to defend the church under attack. There are those throughout Freemasonry committed to the destruction of the church from within.

Moving forward into the next few years, I knew I could confront spiritual issues without being hindered or intimidated by the fear I once had. Even though I greatly missed the more frequent interaction with the Lord during those times of my previous need, I also knew I was now expected to share those things I had received. In this aspect, doing so was a pleasure and a blessing. With the outreach expanding into different areas, I began taking road trips each summer over a three-year period. Traveling with Masonic resources in my station wagon, I’d leave the West Coast along the Trans-Canada Highway. It was my desire to be available for any situation in which I could be of use. It was during one of these trips when an incident occurred that would change how I would respond to the Lord from that point onward. Several years later, in September 2007, it was this same incident that led me to respond to His voice telling me to, "Run in the next Federal Election."

This incident occurred in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. My first year, I stopped at a roadside bird sanctuary on the outskirts of Moose Jaw. It was during a summer storm through which I had a restful sleep. The following summer, I was close to Moose Jaw and decided to spend the night there again, expecting another peaceful sleep. However, the weather was different, and I hadn’t thought things through. Instead of a cool evening, I had a hot prairie night. Being a bird sanctuary, mosquitoes were abundant. I couldn’t roll down a single window to cool off. By late morning, I may have gotten a few hours of sleep before waking up to visitors in the parking lot. I was hot, sweaty, and exhausted. I only wanted to get back onto the Trans-Canada to cool off. There was, however, a promise I’d made to Dennis to view the arena where he had played hockey the year before. With that promise in mind, I planned to quickly drive into Moose Jaw, take one loop around the arena, and get back onto the highway.

Driving in, as I passed a church on my right, He said, "Turn around, go back." Despite knowing He had spoken those words, my attitude was so bad I didn’t even extend the courtesy of a response. A little further, and again He said, "Turn around, go back." This time I responded by saying, "I don’t want to." I was hoping that would be the end of it. A little further, and for the third time, He said, "Turn around, go back." In a tone of exasperation, I said, "Okay! Okay!", thinking He’s just not going to stop. Even after pulling into the church parking lot, my attitude had not improved. I gathered up a set of resources to offer to whoever I might meet inside. I didn’t have any great expectations. Upon entering, I met a lady there to greet visitors. I introduced myself, telling her I was a former Mason with resources to share if they might be of any value. With instant excitement, she wanted to know more, telling me about some serious issues in her church. Just two weeks prior, the Masons within the church had held a Masonic funeral service in the sanctuary despite objections from other members. Those members who opposed the Masonic activity with its dominance didn’t know how to defend their church without the information needed to do so. From that point on, I was fully engaged as I answered her questions, showing her where the answers could be found within the resources. Having seen the level of Masonic control in this church, I fully understood why the Lord had been insistent that I return to provide the resources they needed. After driving away, more than an hour later, now that I understood His intervention for His church, my earlier behavior mortified me. Even though He never said a single word, I was profusely apologetic. With each apology, I promised I would never again refuse when asked or told to do something. Over the many years since then, I’ve always done my best to do so. These are the background details to explain why I responded to His voice telling me to, “Run in the next Federal Election.”

After returning home two weeks later, I called to ask how things had been since my visit. It was of no surprise to hear how the Masons were telling everyone not to read or believe any of those resources the Lord had specifically designated for His church. Unfortunately, this is the same spiritual confrontation in many churches from those responding to Masonic authority after Masons were ordered to join Protestant denominations in the January 1926 issue of the New Age Magazine. Over time, many Christians and even pastors became members due to the silence imposed by the spiritual authority under which Freemasonry operates. Despite this, not one single Christian or pastor will remain a Masonic member when confronted with the spiritual realities attached to their membership. As each member is set free, they become a voice and a resource to help others towards their freedom from bondage. For some, like myself, this freedom may take time and patience while extending compassion on their behalf. There are, however, occasions where more assertive measures are required to evict the Luciferian doctrines seeking to destroy His church from within.

After telling me how the Masons had responded in their opposition to the resources, she said, “You’ll never guess what happened a few days after you were here.” She then told me how a woman had entered the church, the same as I had, to tell her that the sanctuary had been contaminated by witchcraft. After telling me this, we spoke about the witchcraft implications involved in Freemasonry. Normally, I don’t discuss this level of spiritual activity as it can become overwhelming, leading to difficulties unless the other party has some prior knowledge regarding this spiritual reality. As she and other members of her church had been alerted to the witchcraft activity, I continued providing further details without those concerns. I directed her to some of the resources on the CTMin website and answered questions. One of the resources I highly recommended was the video Freemasonry From Darkness to Light by Jeremiah Films. While only 34 minutes long, it has always been effective when I’ve shown it during some of my presentations. It can do in 34 minutes what would take me 2 to 3 hours to explain. As to the witchcraft implications within Freemasonry, there is a segment where former Masons and former coven members compare some of their respective rituals. Being almost identical, this segment reveals the spiritual association between witchcraft and Freemasonry operating in many churches. Although somewhat dated, being produced in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in 1991, I still consider it one of the best productions with its use of compassion towards those Masons under bondage.

Many years ago, I spoke with Dr. David Didow, a former Mason involved in its production. He told me how the local Masons were aware of its production, buying one of the first available copies. A Lodge meeting was called to view it, looking at ways to discredit it. After that meeting, seven members never returned. While available to view on YouTube, I’ve always recommended getting at least one copy to have on hand to share with others.

No matter how successful darkness appears in masquerading as agents of Light, there are always clues exposing its evil intent towards all of us. Another indicator of the witchcraft reality in Freemasonry is identified in the Women’s Order of the Eastern Star. It’s generally accepted that Rob Morris founded this order in 1850. At that time, Masons had a problem with their wives complaining about the ongoing expenses involving their husbands’ membership. This problem was solved by initiating their wives under oath-bound obligations to Freemasonry. The symbol chosen for this new Masonic order was the inverted pentagram. The pentagram is a 5-pointed star. When used in the occult, one point up is the symbol of white witchcraft. When inverted, with two points up, it symbolizes black witchcraft and satanism. Being challenged on its use of the inverted pentagram, Masonic officials responded by saying, “This emblem, which has been our symbol, although a sign of evil, has been redeemed by ‘The Good Works of Our Members.’” (Part 3, page 3, Freemasonry On Trial) This focus on ‘good works’ is used extensively throughout Freemasonry to distract members from considering its occult reality.

Raised by my grandparents, my grandmother was a Worthy Grand Matron, one of the higher positions in the Eastern Star. I remember being puzzled by the inverted pentagram worn on her Eastern Star gown when leaving for Lodge meetings, as I felt there might be an ungodly association with it. Due to her activities in the Church as a committed Christian, I was able to put these concerns aside. My ability to do this was further reinforced by the other Masonic church members who came by over the years. As with most members in the church and elsewhere, I didn’t have any resources to understand the actual realities involving Freemasonry. Any suspicions that this inverted pentagram might have an association with black witchcraft and satanism were suppressed. This, despite being in plain view on many Lodge buildings and in media advertisements seeking women for membership.

Additional details of the witchcraft origins in the Eastern Star under Masonic authority are provided by Dr. Cathy Burns in Part Three, pages 1–23, Freemasonry On Trial. This material was made available with permission from Dr. Burns. Her book, Hidden Secrets of the Eastern Star, from which many of these quotes were taken, is highly endorsed as one of the most authoritative publications on this subject. Regarding issues of witchcraft, William Schnoebelen also gave permission for the use of quotes from his book Masonry Beyond The Light in Part One and Two of Freemasonry On Trial. While a member of witchcraft, his coven elders recommended that he join Freemasonry to increase his occult abilities. He shares using Freemasonry as a stepping stone into greater levels of the occult. These were some of the resources we spoke about during our phone conversation. The same kind of resources every church in North America, Europe, and beyond needs to consider in moving forward in Him when confronted by Freemasonry. For many within the church and often the church itself, it may involve a choice: Jesus or the Lodge.
